Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
As a late-diagnosed ADHDer, I get it.
The weight of years lived in misunderstanding yourself and being misunderstood is no joke.
Learning the why and how of my ADHD was pivotal for me. I had reasons not just flaws.
And now I can’t shut up about it.

So in 2024 I trained extensively and earned certification to help other people understand and manage their ADHD brains through coaching.
It's working for me, this work-in-progress is actually progressing.

Relief…

"After my 2017 ADHD diagnosis sunk in, I cried.
Like extra-ugly-cried with relief at finally having a why behind my disappointing patterns.
I had so much to learn. I dug in.

Learning there are brain-based reasons for the struggles, not just a parade of character flaws, made room for understanding and compassion.
A kinder narrator took over once
I had reason to hush the harsh inner critic.
She'd just always been there, all the time, so rude, so toxic.
She had to go.

Before long, I noticed frustration had quieted.
My emotions made more sense, even when they came in like a flood.
The more reasonable inner voice spoke up, encouraging me.
Hope arrived.

Our ADHD brains aren't broken, they’re different.
That’s why adulting with ADHD is so frustrating,
and honestly, just brutal sometimes.
You deserve support, from someone who gets you.

Listening to a healthier inner voice, I could appreciate the pretty-good stuff that ADHD brains offer up:
Tireless curiosity, creative connections, a willingness to try something different and—instinctively finding the funny, even— especially —when we're trying to behave.
As for the big, messy but genuine emotions—
yeah, those will need regulating. But it's worth it.
You’ll see that working with your brain instead of against it is refreshing, motivating and just way less annoying.

As someone who doesn’t claim to have it all figured out, I’ve seen that change comes along the way, not just at some elusive finish line.

Sunrise is eight sessions to help close that gap between today’s reality and the potential you haven’t tasted yet.

We’ll start with understanding why the gap is there in the first place.
( Spoiler: It's emotional. Almost always. Even if you “don't have any emotions.” )

Together we'll build on two ways to coach yourself through the stuck moments — practical tools that go everywhere you go. We'll notice and pull the weeds of old habits before they take root again, building rhythms and routines that finally feel like you.

We'll work on that thing many people don't expect to be at play behind so many scenarios: big fat emotions.
ADHDers tend to feel more intensely, more deeply, even if they don’t know it.
Success is not about suppression, nor allowing emotions to hijack your days, keeping you stuck.
Learn to let them be, and move through you, as they're supposed to.

When emotions stop running the show, self-trust can show up,
and use the strengths you have to guide you all the way to some pretty great things.
